Holy Trinity Dobcross Complaints Procedures 2010
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE UNDER SECTION 23 OF THE EDUCATION REFORM ACT
We always endeavour to deal with situations in school as they arise and ask all parents to try to deal with difficulties before they are given a chance to escalate. We have been identified by OFSTED as a successful school and we wish to remain successful. We shall only do that by always looking to improve. Please help us to do so, by being positive in your criticism.
If parents do have cause to complain the school follows the LA Complaints procedure which follows three stages for complaints concerning the curriculum and related matters.
- Preliminary discussion with the Headteacher
Most matters can be resolved in this way. Please make an appointment to see the Headteacher. - Formal complaint to the Governing body
If attempts to resolve the matter fail, please put your complaint in writing to the Clerk to the Governing body. The letter should be addressed to the Clerk to the Governors at Holy Trinity CE Dobcross School, or the Business support service, Performance, Capacitiy and services, Rosary Road, Fitton Hill, Oldham, OL8 2QE. - Formal complaint to the LA
If your complaint remains unresolved you may complain to the LA. The matter will be dealt with by a designated officer whom you should contact through the Clerk to the Governors.
The Secretary of State may not consider any complaints unless these three stages have been completed.
